Dorithe Mae Jankowski

Dorithe Mae (Zibell) Jankowski, 91, Ashwaubenon, passed away in her sleep on Wednesday, January 29, 2025. She was born in Milwaukee, on January 25 ,1934. She grew up in St. Francis, and graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. She taught in the Milwaukee Public Schools System. She married Leonard “Lenny” Jankowski on September 30,1961 in Milwaukee. They moved the family to Ashwaubenon in 1968. She was a co-founder, along with her husband, of Northern Inventory Service and worked as an administrative assistant. She had a talent for sewing and loved designing clothes for her children as they were growing up. She also made infant clothes for the poor and items for kidney patients. She and her family were a foster family of over 23 babies. She was an exceptional foster mother. She went on many camping trips with the Girl Scouts. She enjoyed helping her husband cut and pile up wood. She also loved to go atving around the family's land in Crivitz. She even went deer hunting with her son and husband. Dorithe and Lenny went square dancing and performed on the S.S. Badger. She has been a member of the Confraternity of the Most Holy Rosary for over a decade. She is preceded by death by her husband Lenny and her baby daughter, Diana Marie.

 Survivors include daughter LeAnn Jankowski of De Pere, son Anthony (Jeanine) of Neenah, sister Marianne Mandelin of Greendale, brother Laurence Zibell of Three Lakes. She will be greatly missed by nieces, nephews, friends and God daughters: Theresa, Cheryl, Dorithe “Dolly”, Laura, and Erika.

Friends may call from 5:00-7:00 on Monday, February 3 at Newcomer Creamtions, Funerals, Receptions, 340 S. Monroe Ave, Green Bay. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 2270 S Oneida St, Green Bay; at 11 on Tuesday, February 4, along with a visitation at 10.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Right to Life movement, Wounded Warriors or Children International.
