Doris Ann Hedstrom

Doris Ann (Jacques) Hedstrom, age 90, joined her beloved husband, Francis, in Heaven on January 22, 2025. Born to Orville and Lillian (Conlon) Jacques on December 3, 1934 in Green Bay, WI. Doris graduated from St. Philip the Apostle school and St. Joseph Academy class of 1953. She married Francis (Frank-Bud) Hedstrom on January 21, 1956 at St. Philip the Apostle Church. They immediately moved to Perry, Iowa and started their family. While raising four children they moved to eight different towns in four states before coming home to stay in Green Bay in 1972. Doris enjoyed reading, embroidery, Casino Slots and Bingo, going up North to their cottage and riding to see the leaves every fall. She enjoyed her grandchildren and also visiting with her nieces and nephews.

Doris is survived by her sons, David and Carl (Sherrie), daughters, Paula Price and Merry Knoke. Grandchildren, Amanda (Buddy) Spangler, Ashlyn (Alex Petzold) Tahlier, Emilie Price, Ciara Hedstrom, Patrick Knoke, great-grandson Dale Spangler, and a great-granddaughter, Phoebe, due next month. Sisters-in-law, Donna Jacques and LaVerne Hedstrom. Many nieces and nephews, cousins and her special friend of 85 years - Shirley Kuplic.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Francis, her parents, brothers, Orville Jr., Donald, and Kenneth Jacques, sisters, Donna (George) Schuelke, Beverly Jacques, Audrey (Al) Cappelle, and Kathleen Jacques, eldest grandson, Nicholas Price, and son-in-law, Paul Knoke. She was also preceded in death by her in-laws, Elmer & Linda (Russart) Hedstrom, brothers-in-law, William, Arthur, and Robert (Kay, Yvonne) Hedstrom, sisters-in-law, Katherine (Al) Janelle and Margaret (Ted) Parmentier and family friends, Ralph and Joan Dowske and also Ron and Nancy Bandurski.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, from 9:30 am to 11:30 am at Newcomer Funeral Home (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay). The Funeral Service to follow at 11:30 am at Newcomer, followed by burial at Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
