Dora J. Bongle

Dora J. Bongle, age 83, of Egg Harbor, passed away on August 7, 2024 surrounded by her family. 

She was born on August 1, 1941 to James and Jessie "Sparks" Hazen in Kalamazoo, Michigan. 

Dora worked as a caregiver throughout her life. She could be feisty, but there was no doubt that she cared deeply about people. Dora would never pass up on a chance to play cards with her friends, family or anyone she could find. She was a reader, an avid gardener, and she had a love for animals, sweets, going out for lunch, the casino, and a warm Diet Pepsi. 

Dora is survived by her loving daughters: Karen (Doug) Goeb, Tammy (Wayne) Kasten, Shelley (Jeff) Colpitts, Peggy Martin, and Belinda (John) Jacobe, 16 grandkids: Jason, Mark, Allen, Tommer, Christopher, Nicole, Jamie, Sara, Casey, Dylan, Jeffrey Jr, Jerry, Jessie, Josh, Jonni, Jadyn, and Preslie, 14 great-grandkids, and one sister: Gloria Tesch. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers: James Hazen, Henry Hazen, and Jeffrey Hazen, and her sisters: Jackie May and Ann Ahtonen.
