Donna M. Solper, 86, of Green Bay, died peacefully Saturday, June 30, 2018. She was born on August 15, 1931, to the late Lawrence and Viola (Fluery) Solper. After graduating from Green Bay East High School, Donna spent her entire working career at General Motors Acceptance Corp (GMAC). She enjoyed traveling. One highlight trip was to the Seattle World's Fair in 1962, driving there in her new convertible. Donna was especially known for her love of animals. She shared this love with her sister and best friend, Betty. In addition to having many pet dogs and cats, Donna was an avid feeder of birds and squirrels. Together Donna and Betty raised parakeets and canaries, a love they were handed down from their mother.
Donna is survived by her brother, Ken Solper; nieces, Sue (Rick) Johanski and Jennifer Solper; nephews, Jeff (Kathy) Solper, Dave (Lisa) Solper and Jim (Andrea) Solper; and great-nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister and brother-in-law, Betty & Floyd Thomas; sister-in-law, Lenore Solper; niece and nephew-in-law, Linda & Tom Seibert and great nephew, Andy Seibert.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm on Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Newcomer - Green Bay Chapel, 340 S. Monroe Ave. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm. Burial will be at Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank everyone at Patient Pines Assisted Living as well as Southern Care Hospice for all the care and love given to Donna. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brown County Humane Society.
