Donna M. Schaeffer

Donna M. Schaeffer, age 84, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022 while at Edenbrook Nursing Home with her family by her side. She was born on June 23, 1938 in Oconto Falls the daughter of the late Adeline (Biglow) and William Hyde. She was a graduate of Oconto Falls High School. She was devoted to her husband, Patrick Schaeffer, and family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. For many years, Donna and Pat were foster parents to many and loved giving everyone a place to call home. They loved spending time up north with family. She was a great cook and you could never leave hungry. Donna will be deeply missed by her dog, Buster.

Donna is survived by her six children: Jeff (Vicki Buntin) Hanson, Diane Remington, Kellie Smith, Lisa (Robert) Garrity, Shawn Schaeffer, and John (Beth) Schaeffer; beloved grandchildren: Nicholas, Patrick, Heather, Amber, Austin, Hailey, and Lucyana, along with great-grandchildren: Emery, Nalani, Amity, Ethan, Cameron, Adrian, Mireyah, and Dillion. She is further survived by her god-daughter, Linda Pelishek, and her best friend, Donna Piotzkowski. Donna is preceded in death by one son, Todd Schaeffer and great-granddaughter, Isabella "Izzy".

Donna's wishes were to be cremated and the family will have private services in the future. Inurnment will take place at St. Patrick's Cemetery.
