Donna Kavanaugh Mennen, 91, of Green Bay, went to Heaven to be with God on February 16, 2024 at Woodside Lutheran Home. She was born on January 19, 1933 to James and Ada (Golden) Kavanaugh. Donna lived her life in Allouez until marriage having attended St. Matthews Grade School, graduated from St. Joseph Academy, and later attended St. Norberts College and Green Bay Vocational School.
On April 19, 1954, she married Cyril "Cliff" Mennen. Donna and her husband owned Everbloom Floral located at Bay Park Square Mall and other locations with floral outlets in the vicinity for approximately 12 years. She was the past secretary for the Allouez Swim Club.
Donna is survived by her loving husband, Cliff of 69 years, sons: James (Ann) Mennen, Jerry (Lynette) Mennen, and Robert (Yvonne) Mennen; daughters: Judy (Mary) Mennen, Barb (Mike) Halron, Lynn (Mike) Follett, Terri (Eric) Schroeder, and Shelly (John) Fritsch; son-in-law, Perry Mettler. Donna was also survived by 17 grandchildren: Christina, Michael, Daniel, Sarah, Nicholas, Patricia, Jessica, Eric, Terra, Kelli, Tori, Katie, Lauren, Tessa, Ryan, Megan, and Mallory; as well as 20 great-grandchildren: Liam, Brady, Brett, Bryce, Cody, Mason, Dalton, Reese, Hank, Hugh, Sunnie, Sawyer, Sylvie, Beaux, Maxwell, Cece, Harriet, Hal, Cliff, and Micky; she is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Mary Mettler, grandson, Beaux Mettler, sister, Marion (Lee) Knudtson.
Visitation will be held Sunday, February 25, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 340 S. Monroe Ave from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm with funerals service to follow at 3:00 pm with Ann Froelich officiating.
Private entombment will take place at Allouez Catholic Mausoleum. Memorials are suggested to the Beaux Mettler Foundation. The family would like to extend a thank you to Woodside Lutheran Manor One staff and Heartland Hospice especially Jenn, for all their wonderful care, comfort, and support that was given to Donna and her family.
