Donna (Rowinsky) Dombrowski, 87, of Green Bay died on October 8th surrounded by family.
Donna is preceded in death by her husband, Stan; granddaughter, Adele; and sisters, Mary Lou and Darlene.
Donna will be missed by her children Mona (Dennis) Watermolen-DePere, Marlene (Bruce Myslis)-Milwaukee, Doug (Lynn)-Peshtigo, Daryl (Ruth)-Steamboat Springs, CO, Duane (Lori)-Spokane, WA, Dale-Bozeman, MT, Mary Lynn-Madison, Dean, (Sue Emmerson) Tempe, AZ, and Marcy (Dave) West, La Farge; 35 grandchildren and great grandchildren (who affectionately called her Boosha) Grandchildren: Andrea (Luke) Hudock, Amy (Keith) Noskowiak, Abby (Matt) McGrady, Matthew (Nathalie) Sorensen, Ann (Chris) Ross, Rebecca (Joel Miller) Sorensen, Nick (Jess) Dombrowski, Drew (Jolene) Dombrowski, Jake Dombrowski, Sean (Marcie) Fogarty, Stacey (Nathan) Gerhart, Mary and Stan Dombrowski, Audra Emmerson Dombrowski, Keegan and Andie West and Great Grandchildren: Taylor, Kali, Leah, Deuce, Mason, Megan, Melanie, Charlie, Lucy, Beau, Walker, Max, Beckett, Lilly, Peyton, River, Quincy, Connor, Lily, brother Tony (Ceil) Rowinsky, many close friends, and nieces and nephews.
Donna was born on April 1, 1929, to the late Anton and Wilhelmina (Kerker) Rowinsky and grew up in Sampson, WI. After graduating from Oconto Falls HS, she completed cosmetology school in Appleton. In 1948 she married Stan Dombrowski, of Abrams, and they made their home in Green Bay.
Stan and Donna enjoyed going to Packer games, traveling, and spending time with family and friends at their Lakewood summer home on Maiden Lake. Donna was an avid reader; and was admired for her quilting and baking skills; in particular, her homemade bread and 'raised' doughnuts. In 1999, Donna retired from the Green Bay Board of Education, in Foodservice (at Lombardi Jr High & Southwest HS).
Donna's family wishes to extend their gratitude to all of the compassionate caregivers at Renaissance, Rennes, and Birch Creek. We won't forget your kindness.
In lieu of flowers, suggested memorials to a charity that supports the well-being of 'kids', the Lewy Body Dementia or American Parkinson's Disease Association.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 13th from 3 - 6 PM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 2771 Oakwood Drive, Green Bay. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 6 PM. Interment will be private at Lakewood Forest Cemetery. The Newcomer Funeral Home of Green Bay has been entrusted with arrangements.
