Donald R. Cropsey, age 71, of Bellevue, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, October 30, 2015 at home. He was welcomed into the arms of the Lord. Donnie was born April 28, 1944 in Green Bay, son of the late Raymond and Kathryn (Herman) Cropsey and graduated from Green Bay East High School in 1963.
Donald served his country with the U.S. Army in Korea. He married Julieann Dufek, August 25, 1973 and together they shared 42 loving years of marriage.
Donald worked at Packerland Packing, Inc. for 42 years. He was happily retired and loved cooking, fishing, playing cards and cheering for the Packers, Brewers and Badgers. His wife and son were his pride and joy and he loved his little dog, Licorice.
Donald is survived by his loving wife, Julieann; his dearest son, Jim (Michelle LaFave) Cropsey; his brothers and sisters: Karen Barnack, Jon Cropsey, Connie (Gary) Corsten, Robert (Sue) Cropsey, Richard (Jackie Tragnitz) Cropsey and Colleen (Tom) Deffke; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Jerry Barnack.
Friends and relatives may call at NATIVITY OF OUR LORD FAMILY PARISH, (2270 S. Oneida St., Green Bay) on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 from 5 to 6:45 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 7 PM with the Rev. John H. Harper officiating.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.
