Donald J. "Don" Reinheimer, 58, Green Bay, passed away after a battle with cancer on Monday, August 18, 2014, at his home surrounded by family and friends.
He was born on January 20, 1956, in Milwaukee, WI, to the late John & Betty (Johnston) Reinheimer.
Don graduated from Bonduel High School in 1974. After graduation he attended and graduated from NWTC. Don learned his trade while living in Charleston, SC, before moving back to Wisconsin where he worked as a machinist/ assembler for CA Lawton for more than 20 years.
He married his high school sweetheart Chandra Pitt in Charleston, SC, on October 7, 1978. Together they raised two children, Jared & Rachel.
Don liked to bowl, golf, travel and camp with family and friends, fish, hunt, hike, and bike. Most of all, Don enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, including his wife, children and grandchildren.
He was a loving husband, patient and kind father, adoring brother and dear friend.
Don was such a giving person; he always put his family and others before himself. He made sure to take care of everybody dear to him and did so with all of his heart.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Chandra; children, Jared (fiancé, Jessica Oleyniczak) and Rachel (Gino) Gemignani; grandchildren, Austin & Aleyra Reinheimer; siblings, Richard (Jackie) Reinheimer, Lin (Gary) Notz, Mari (Marni Noldin) Reinheimer; mother-in-law, Jeanette Pitt; brothers & sisters-in-law, Lance (Carrie) Pitt, Layne (Laura) Pitt, Carla (Fred) VanDine, Janilee (Jeff) DeBauch, and Brad Pitt; Godchildren, Mike Scheelk and Jarrett Scheelk; and many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, DuWayne "Ace" Pitt; sister-in-law, Connie Rutledge.
Visitation will be held from 9:30am until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:30am on Thursday, August 21, 2014, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 341 Wilson Ave., Green Bay, with Reverend Barb Ristow officiating.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
The family would like to thank the staff and doctors of Unity Hospice, especially Traci, Dr. Amy James and the staff of Bellin Cancer Center, and all the wonderful staff of Green Bay Oncology.
