Donald Detrick, age 82, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully at Aurora Baycare Hospital on Thursday, August 9, 2018.
Don was born in Green Bay to Frank & Josephine Detrick on December 14, 1935. He went to school at Green Bay West High School. He married Carolyn on June 26, 1998. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He enjoyed woodworking, photography, paint, drawing, going to flea markets. He was an animal lover especially dogs. Some of the dogs and cats he had over the years were, Cujo, Bo, Coal, Leo and many others.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Wendricks; children, Mark (Kathy) Wendricks, Michael A. Wendricks, Pamela (Raymond) Laurent, Denise (Mark) Thyrion, Donn Detrick Jr., John (Rebecca) Jonas, Sarah Jonas, David (Shannon) Detrick; twenty grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. Don will also be missed by Stacie Janus, who helped care for him. He thought of her as a granddaughter and friend.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at Newcomer - Green Bay Chapel, 340 S. Monroe Ave. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm.
