Dolores M. Bedore

May 6, 1932 — September 16, 2018

Dolores Mae Bedore (Dee), 86, died peacefully on Sunday, September 16th, 2018 following a two year battle with Alzheimer's disease. Born on May 6, 1932 to Laura (Glime) and Harvey DeCleene, Dee was a spirited woman who lived life to its fullest. She had many passions, including her husband of 34 years, Edward, 'Ed,' Bedore, her family and friends, travel, and God.

After she graduated from Green Bay East High School in 1949, Dee worked as a secretary and telephone operator, and later had successful careers as an area manager with Sarah Coventry Jewelry and as the membership director for the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce. Upon retiring Dee and Ed split time living in Green Bay and Tampa before eventually moving to Tampa full time. Both were very active in their retirement community and had many cherished friends. They became co-owners of a travel agency, taking advantage of their love for traveling both on land and sea, touring over 80 countries, often arranging trips with family, friends, and neighbors. Dee documented her family and her experiences and adventures in collections of photo albums.

After rediscovering her faith later in life, she and Ed were very active in their church, South Tampa Fellowship. Many will remember Dee for her strong will and lively personality. She had been an avid golfer, achieving two holes-in-one. Dee loved family gatherings and animals, especially the family dog CeCe. She also enjoyed card games, followed her beloved Green Bay Packers, spent time 'Further North' and worked on her family genealogy. She took great pride in her children.

Dee is survived by: her three sons: David (Trish), Dale (Kim), and Dan Novak as well as five grandchildren: Justin Novak, Stephanie (Paul) Belanger, Michelle Novak, Michaela Shimon, and Clara Novak, six great-grandchildren, brother, Don (Dori) DeCleene, nieces and nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Laura (Glime) DeCleene her husband 'Ole Ed', a granddaughter Aislinn Shimon, and Don Novak, the father of their three sons.
