Dianne T. Preston

July 18, 1941 — January 2, 2022

Dianne T. Preston, age 80, after fighting cancer for over 30 years begrudgingly left this world on January 2, 2022. She was born fighting and sassy July 18, 1941 in Black River Falls, WI; the daughter of the late John and Theresa (Christianson) Preston. After high school, Dianne furthered her education and received a Bachelors in Education. She was a jack of all trades, and had a wealth of knowledge and an opinion for everything; and mostly treasured being a mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter. Dianne had a great love of leisure, traveling the world and shopping as she went. Among all of her travels, she especially loved the salty air of Florida.

Dianne is survived by her three loving children: Theresa "Tess" (James) Schroeder, John (Kim) Peterson, and Carin Gardner; 11 grandchildren: Richard and Andrew Schroeder, Cierra Putnam, Tom, and Tim Peterson, Eben and Jazlyn Baumgarten, Brynn and Quinn Gardner, Bryceson and Carson Ellevold, 2 great-grandchildren: Harland and Henry Vogels; one brother, John (Karen) Preston; further survived by nieces, nephews, and many dear friends, as she put it, "in the hood".

Friends and family may gather at Newcomer Chapel, 340 S. Monroe Ave, on Sunday, January 9, 2022 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm.
