Diana D. Phillip, age 80, of Green Bay, passed away on November 29, 2022.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held December 9, 2022 at 4 p.m. at Nativity Parish 2270 S. Oneida Street Green Bay. Friends and family may gather at 3 p.m. at Nativity to share memories.
Diana was born February 11, 1942 in Amherst Junction, WI. She was the daughter of Roman and Phyllis Kropidlowski.
In 1963 she married Melvin Phillip from Stevens Point, WI. They settled in Green Bay, WI in 1966.
Diana is survived by her twin brother, Don Kropidlowski, her sisters, Joyce Konopacky and Linda Pacyna.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Phillip and her sisters, Rose Marie Goskowicz and Ramona Wroblewski.
Alex, Kassie and Max, her grandchildren were extremely blessed to have her present for and passionately care for them for so much of their lives. They will be forever grateful for her loving kindness, pies, cookies, bread and the enthusiasm she brought to every meal she prepared and game she played with them.
Diana was also blessed with one great grandchild, James Donald Renard, son of Alex Renard and Megan Dickman-Renard.
Her children, David Phillip-Rhinelander (Kendra Glebke), Ann Passamoni-DePere (Phil), Jean Renard-Green Bay (Rick) and Daniel Phillip-Green Bay will miss her dearly.
Diana had a strong work ethic and a servant's heart. She beautifully cared for her son Daniel, was a Eucharistic minister for many years at Nativity Parish, taught religious ed, was a Brownie and Girl Scout leader, volunteer at St. John's homeless Shelter and St. Vincent De Paul among many others. She was also an Associate of the Sisters of Saint Francis, Holy Cross. She also loved her family fiercely and was so proud to serve them in any way they needed.
Other than her family she loved flowers, gardening, dogs, cooking, baking, the Red Hatters and chatting with anyone and everyone. She had a big heart and great joy for everything she was involved in.
Her family would like to thank Unity Hospice and the wonderful staff and residents at Dimensions Living for making her feel so welcome.
