On April 5, 2020, a special person in our lives went on the final path of her journey.
Diana (VandenBusch) Philippi was born in Green Bay, WI on October 2, 1953. She grew up in town and graduated from West High School in 1972. She went on to earn a Retail Sales degree from NWTC. She married her husband of 40 years on May 10, 1980 and had two beloved daughters. She was a working mom with jobs most memorably at Olan Mills Portrait Studio, Muscular Dystrophy Association, and King's Canvas.
Diane is survived by her husband Ron Philippi, her eldest daughter Katie Philippi (Fiancee Andrew Pitts) of San Angelo, TX, her youngest child Hattie Philippi, her two grandchildren Rhea and Joseph and their father Tim. Her siblings; Carol (Ron) Lemirand of Green Bay, Clyde (Pat) VandenBusch of Troy, AL, David (Bonnie) VandenBusch of Green Bay, Cindy (William) Locke of Jackson, MI. Her dear Uncle and Aunt, Bob and Mary Phillips, her best friend Jean Walters, whom she loved as a sister, and her family. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many cousins and other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Doris (Phillips) VandenBusch, cherished grandmother Nellie (Seabauer) Phillips, in-laws Roland and Mary (Behnke) Philippi of Suring, WI, and ever loved pets Gypsy, Coco, Bud, Milo, Gadget, and Chi-chi.
A celebration of Diane's life will be held on June 28, 2020 from 2pm to 4pm at Newcomer Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 4pm. All monetary memorial support will go to the charity of Diane's choice.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff and residents of Green Bay Health Services, Deacon Michael Dabeck, the staff of Bellin Cancer Team and Froedtert Hospital, Compassus nurses and chaplains, and the staff of Newcomer Cremations Funerals & Receptions for their friendship and care of Diane, and their support to the family after.
