Dennis (Denny) W. Nuthals
Today, Friday, July 1, 2022 my best friend, father, grandfather, uncle, friend, a hardworking, sweet man passed away.
He was born on October 21, 1948 in Green Bay, the son of the late Wayne and Georgianna (Fink) Nuthals. Dennis was a 1967 graduate of Preble High School and went on to proudly serve our country, stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. He was united in marriage to Kathy Huguet on June 20, 1969. Their marriage was blessed with four children. Dennis worked for Georgia-Pacific for over 30 years, until his retirement in 2011. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing with his family and friends, enjoying the cottage up north telling stories around the campfire about his adventures growing up in the north side. He spent endless hours patiently teaching his children, grandchildren and anyone willing to learn how to water ski. Dennis was very handy around cars, and proud of his restored Model A. He was a family man at heart, if there was a moment to learn he was teaching, especially his grandchildren.
Dennis is survived by his best friend, Kathy of 53 years, four children: Jodi (Mike) Mikulsky, Jesse (Jean) Nuthals, Jamie (Bobbie) Nuthals, and Jill (Richard) Cornell; 9 grandchildren: Brandon and Ryan Mikulsky, Jacob Nuthals, Everett, Eleanor, Emmett, Ethan, and Eli Nuthals, Lillian Cornell; one sister, Barb Adams, brothers and sisters-in-law: Shirley Huguet, Janice Shernak, Tom (Bonnie) Huguet, Linda (Ken) Peterson, Julie (Mike) Brunette, and Harry (Martha) Huguet, further survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law, Marie (Tony) Hamernik and Robert Huguet, brother, Patrick Nuthals, brothers-in-law, Dennis Adams and Richard Huguet, and sister-in-law, Marilyn (Bob) Dahlke.
Friends and family may gather at St. Philip the Apostle, 312 Victoria St., on Tuesday. July 5, 2022 from 9:00 am until 10:30 am with Mass to follow at 10:30 am. Private family entombment will take place at Allouez Catholic Mausoleum. Mass is being co-celebrated by father Juan Zarate and Father Paul DeMuth.
