Dennis G. Adams

Dennis G. Adams, 75, of Appleton, WI., passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday, October 19th, 2021. He was born in Green Bay, WI., on December 27th, 1945, to the late John and Bernice (Tamrack) Adams.

Dennis attended St. Matthew's Grade School and graduated from Green Bay East High School. He went on to study business administration at UW-Oshkosh. On January 7th, 1967, Dennis married the love of his life and his high school sweetheart Barbara Nuthals. Together they "honeymooned" at the Ice Bowl.

On August 2nd, 1967, Dennis went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army. He was honorably discharged and upon returning home, he and his wife Barb raised their three children together.

Dennis went on to work in retail management for many years.

After retirement, Dennis spent most of his time outdoors. From golfing with his friends to gardening and landscaping- anything that could be done outside, Dennis was a part of. He loved all sports, whether it was talking about them, watching them, or participating in them himself. Dennis also enjoyed traveling.
Dennis will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandpa. He loved spending time with his family and was especially supportive in everything his children and grandchildren did, especially sports.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara; his three children: Terri (James) Barrett, Tammy (Todd) Janes and Tim (Stephanie) Adams; seven grandchildren: Josh Adams, Mikaela, Grace amd Rachael Janes, Elizabeth, Meredith and Calahan Adams; siblings: Jean (Jim) Sawyer, Dale (Tracy) Adams, Jane (Carl) Grathen, and Joan (Lance) Crum; brother-in-law Dennis (Kathleen) Nuthals; his beloved-dogs: Jack and Gigi along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his in-laws: Wayne and Georgianna Nuthals and his brother-in-law Patrick Nuthals.

Visitation for Dennis will be held on Wednesday, October 27th, 2021, at St. Matthew's Catholic Church (130 St Matthews St, Green Bay, WI 54301) from 9:00 AM- 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM with Fr. Jim Jugenheimer officiating and will end with full Military Honors. Entombment will be at Allouez Catholic Cemetery & Chapel Mausoleum.

The family would like to thank Dr. William Conkright and the dedicated staff, along with Thedacare Regional Medical Center in Appleton for the care and compassion given to Dennis.
