Delores Mae Albers, age 80, of Kaukauna, died on Monday, March 20, 2017, from complications of Parkinson's disease, at American Grand, Kaukauna.
She was born on June 13, 1936, in Neenah, daughter of Chester & Lorraine (Debruin) Meulemans. She was a graduate of St. Mary High School in Menasha.
Delores married Robert Albers on July 20, 1991 and they celebrated 25 years together. She worked as a playground monitor at Johnson School and at Gordy's Foods in the deli department when her children were young. She was also manager at Winslow's Hallmark for many years.
Mom loved to grow flowers; and a visit to her home always included a tour of her backyard gardens. She loved old movies, preparing delicious meals for family and friends and a good shopping trip. Above all she was a supportive, loving wife, mother and grandma.
Delores is survived by her husband, Bob; children, Cindy (Tim) Wright of Appleton, Steve (Elia) Hupfauf of Wausau, Mike (Susan) Hupfauf of Fox Point, Pat (Teresa) Hupfauf of Lawrence, Kansas; grandchildren, Andrew, Alyssa (Adam), Crystal (Garret), Sean and Tiana; great-grandchildren, Stella & Olivia; brother, Charles (Patricia) Meulemans; sister, Laura (Jim) Kessler; and a sister-in-law, Jan Meulemans of Neenah; Bob's children and grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and other friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jimmy, Ronald and Daniel; Also, by her former husband, Henry Hupfauf.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 am until 11:00 am on Friday, March 24, 2017, at St. Bernadette Parish, 2331 E. Lourdes Drive, Appleton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Friday at the church.
