David James Stasko, 74, passed away on January 12, 2024 surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on January 18, 1949 to Carl and Alice (Jakiel) Stasko in Sewickley, Pennsylvania. Dave enlisted in the Navy, served six years, rising to the rank of Petty Officer Third Class. Dave married his first wife, Judith Hughes, in New Castle, Pennsylvania and was blessed with two children.
Dave dedicated his professional life to manufacturing, contributing his skills in steel mills across Pennsylvania and Michigan. Later, he found his place at Lawton Foundry in De Pere, and ultimately concluded his career at Georgia Pacific, with a well-deserved retirement in 2009.
Dave found immense joy in life through his passions. Whether it was cheering for his favorite football teams, engaging in card games and family activities, or exchanging stories by the campfire, these moments brought him genuine happiness. Alongside his partner, Pamela, his love for spending time at cottages and on the boat reflected his appreciation for life's simple pleasures. They shared a deep fondness for music and exploring the beauty of Mexico. Known for his infectious smile and a repertoire of jokes, Dave brightened the lives of those around him. Additionally, he took pride in being a member of the Green Bay Moose Lodge, where socializing gave him a sense of fellowship.
Dave is survived by his beloved partner, Pamela McKeefry. He is also survived by his sister, Marcia Johnson (Carl); daughter, Rhonda (Stasko) Seidl, her husband, Patrick and their two children, Leah Seidl (Josh Wurzer) and Karissa Malchow (Dylan); son, Michael, his wife, April (Haskins) Stasko and their four children: Karl, Abby, Aine, and Sam; his four great grandchildren: Kaia and Niko Wurzer; Datsun and Beckett Malchow. Dave was further survived by Pamela’s children: Meghan (McKeefry) Hasse, her husband, Adam and their two children, Hudson and Cooper; Shanna McKeefry; and Trevor McKeefry.
