David E. Murawski, 69, of Suring, beloved husband of Judie (Groh) Murawski, departed this life on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family.
Dave was born on August 19, 1946 in Green Bay, son of the late Edward and Jeanette (Fitzgerald) Murawski. He was a graduate of Premontre High School, class of 1965. He enlisted in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was stationed in Cam Ranh Bay and flew many missions in Vietnam. As a result of those missions he was awarded the Air Medal with seven oak leaf clusters in addition to numerous other awards. In his spare time, Dave was an avid fisherman, enjoyed wood working, and loved to golf. When wood working, he enjoyed making many things for family and friends. Dave's greatest legacy is that of the person he was, the impact he had on friends and family, and his willingness to help others.
Dave's memory will live on with his wife of 28 years, Judie of Suring, He also leaves his beloved children: Capt. Sean D. Murawski USAF, Samantha (Scott) Alberts, Tracey (Lisa Heck) Alsteen, Jeff Alsteen, and Tori (Joe) Biancardi in addition to 5 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren, and a sister, Mary (Jim) Paque.
A celebration of life party will take place at a later date. Dave's family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Unity Hospice, for the comfort and care given to him in his final journey. The Newcomer Funeral Home of Green Bay has been entrusted with arrangements. Memorial contributions in his memory may be directed to the Salvation Army of Green Bay.
