David M. Dart

David M. Dart, 57, Green Bay, passed away peacefully at home with his family at his side after a long illness on Monday, August 12, 2013.

Dave was born on August 11, 1956, in Green Bay, to the late Marvin and Doris (Matheys) Dart.

Dave married Cindy Wery on September 27, 1975, at St. Louis Church, Dyckesville. Dave and Cindy lived in Dyckesville for 16 years before moving to Green Bay in 1992 when Dave was hired at the City of Green Bay. Dave held numerous jobs with the City until his retirement in 2008. Since his retirement he has spent his time watching their dog, Harley and their daughter's dog, Checkers. He enjoyed working on small engines, playing cards, and spending time with family.

Dave is survived by his wife of 37 years, Cindy; son, Michael (Tracy); daughter, Tracy; six grandchildren, Reilley, Shannyn, Emmarie, Kaissan, Giannah, and Addalae Dart. He is further survived by two sisters, Darlene VanDenPlas, DePere; Cheryl (Mark) Dorner, Luxemburg; two brothers, Craig, De Pere and Rodney, Luxemburg; sister-in-law, Bernadine Dart, Luxemburg; brother-in-law, Dave Wery, Humboldt; mother-in-law, Angela Wery, Luxemburg; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law from Cindy's family; his Goddaughters, Beth Wery and Jackie Dart, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Raymond, Dennis, and Darrell; sister, Donna; father-in-law, Clifford Wery; three brothers-in-law; and a sister-in-law.

Friends may call from 4:00pm until 8:00pm on Thursday, August 15, 2013, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay with a Parish Prayer Service at 7:00pm. Visitation will continue on Friday, August 16, 2013, from 10:00am until 10:45am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2597 Glendale Ave., Green Bay. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the church on Friday at 11:00am with Rev. John Bergstadt officiating. Entombment will be at Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.

Dave's family would like to thank Hospice Advantage for their care and concern as well as their family and friends for their love and support during this time.
