David R. Grovogel

December 18, 1935 — August 27, 2018

David R. Grovogel, age 82, of Green Bay, passed away at home, Monday, August 27, 2018.

He was born December 18, 1935 in Sturgeon Bay, WI, to Harold & Ethel (Webb) Grovogel.

David graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School and went on to Milwaukee School of Engineering. He worked as an industrial engineer at various companies.

David served his country in the U.S. Army for three years, stationed in Okinawa, Japan. On September 6, 1983, he married Sue Koepp in Sturgeon Bay and together they shared 35 years as husband and wife.

He enjoyed walking along the beach with his Irish Setter, Sasha, swimming at his Lake Michigan cottage and spending time with his children, grandchildren and his cat, Luna.

Survivors include his wife, Sue; three children: Michael (Shelly) Grovogel, Sue (Pat) Geniesse and Lisa (Gavin) Rolston; grandchildren: Amber, Rachel, Maria, Joel and Grace; sisters, Diane (Ed) DeMeuse and Linda (Bill) Schlaak; mother-in-law, Marnie Koepp; sister-in-law, Nancy DeChambre; and niece, Jordan DeChambre; and other nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, William "Bugs" Koepp; niece, Pam Wiegand.

There will be a celebration of life at a later date.

The family would like to thank Unity Hospice, especially Tara, Laurie and Darcy for their outstanding care of our beloved David.
