David J. Anders, 94, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2023 at Allouez Parkside Village. He was born on August 12, 1929 to Herman and Theresa (Bertram) Anders in Fond du Lac at home. He proudly served our country in the Korean War as a Marine.
David worked as a truck driver for Stange Trucking, he was also a bar owner, owning four bars in his lifetime.
In March of 1967, he married Christine M. (Trepanier) Hoffman by the justice of the peace and then again on April 12, 1976, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Parish. David and Christine lived in Green Bay and frequented their home in Crooked Lake, Wisconsin. He was a member of St. Joseph Parish.
David is survived by his daughters: Beverly (James) Roberts and Diana Vankauwenberg; daughter-in-law, Monica Hoffman, sons-in-law: Eddie Yacoub and Tim Michaletz; 14 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine M. Anders, his parents, daughters: Sharon Yacoub and Jacqueline Michaletz, and son, James Hoffman; grandson, Jason Roberts, three brothers: Edmund (Margaret), Roman (Marie), and Harold (Evelyn) Anders; three sisters: Alieta (Albert) Feucht, Leona (Frank) Lord, and Viola (Ervin) Gonnering.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 15, 2023, 4:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 340 S. Monroe Ave Green Bay, Funeral Services will follow at 7:00 pm. Graveside Service will take place on Saturday, September 16, 2023 12:00 pm in the Allouez Catholic Cemetery & Chapel Mausoleum, 2121 Riverside Drive, with Military Honors.
