Darlene Warden, age 80 passed away on March 16, 2022 at the Jack and Engrid Meng Hospice Residence. She was born on May 15, 1941 in Casco the daughter of the late Gilbert and Viola (Burmeister) Dorn. Darlene was united in marriage to Jerome Warden on June 28, 1958 at Pine Grove Holy Trinity Catholic Church; their marriage was blessed with 6 children. Darlene and Jerome farmed with their family for over 20 years. She also worked for Brown County Publishing, Potts Blue Star Cheese, and Copps Food Center through out the years. She was an avid bowler, and enjoyed spending time at the cabin up north; being with her family, cooking, playing games, and telling jokes. She treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren.
Darlene is survived by her husband, Jerome of 63 years, six children: Gerry (Jane) Warden, Steve (Lori) Warden, Connie (Greg) Linzmeier, Lisa (Toby) Derricks, Tom (Kelly) Warden, and Al Warden; 14 grandchildren: Nicole (Joe) Stewart, Chris (Samantha) Warden, Alysia Hansen, Kristie Wickman, Zachary (Sarah) Warden, Katie (Mark) Hainey, Joshua (Briana) Warden, Erika (Matthew) Knight, Justin (Kalla) Linzmeier, Mackenzie (Eric Bartz) Linzmeier, Tim (fiancée Emily Dekeyser) Davister, Tyler Davister, Mitchell (fiancée Alysia Fuller) Warden, and Marcus Warden; 23 great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters: Marvin (Judy) Dorn, Gilbert Jr. "Sonny" (Linda) Dorn, and Deloris (Ron) Anderson; brothers-and sisters-in-law: Ike Isenberg, MaryAnn Siporski, and Richard (Gloria) Warden; further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law, Todd Davister, sister, Donna Isenberg, and one brother-in-law, Frank Siporski.
Friends and family may visit Prince of Peace Catholic Community, 3425 Willow Road, on Monday March 21, 2022 from 9:00 am until 11:30 am with Funeral Mass to follow at 11:30 am. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. The family would like to extend a thank you to Rennes Rehab Facility, Unity Hospice and staff at Meng Residence for all their wonderful care, comfort, and compassion that was given to the family.
