Daniel Picard, 65, of Green Bay, passed away on March 17, 2022.
Dan was born on July 31, 1956 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI son of the late Remy and Ardis (Pautz) Picard. He went to technical school in Wilmar, MN and received his degree in technical drawing. He furthered his education at UW-Stevens Point and received a BS degree in soil science. He worked as a soil scientist in Peoria, IL for several years. After a move to Montana he stayed home and was the primary caretaker of his two sons. In his spare time Dan enjoyed hiking in northern Wisconsin and Montana, reading about WWII, and was a collector of aviation models. He could best be described as an intelligent, quiet, caring man with a dry sense of humor and ironic wit which he shared with his family. He is a man that will be remembered and sadly missed by his immediate family and friends.
He is survived by his two sons, William Picard, and Michael (Megan) Picard. He also leaves his beloved granddaughter Gianna Picard. He is also survived by his brother David (Barbara Sironen) Picard and his former wife of 27 years Gail Schaefer.
A simple burial will be held on April 22, 2022 at Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
