He was born on January 30, 1953, in Green Bay, to the late Winston & Emma Nys.
Dane worked for Fort Howard Paper Company & Ashwaubenon Bowling Alley.
Survivors include his siblings, Father Loren Nys, Sandy Meyer and Sharon (Joseph) Bangert; sister-in-law, Debbie Nys; nieces and nephews, Kris Pezon, Jeff Bangert, Jody Meyer, Michelle Johnson and Drew Nys.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Denis Nys.
Private services will be held at a later date.
