Dale Rolland Wanie

Dale Rolland Wanie, 82, of Denmark, WI., passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Aurora Baycare Medical Center on Saturday, September 18, 2021. He was born November 23, 1938 to the late Rolland and Erna (Schmidt) Wanie.

Dale first started his career at an early age working on his family's farm in Glenmore, WI. He drove a milk truck and helped out wherever he was needed. Later, Dale joined Laborers Union Local #330 as a construction worker. He spent over 30 years in this profession before being forced to retire due to injury. He also worked on a dairy farm for John Leick in Greenleaf.

After retirement, Dale enjoyed being "Mr. Fix-It" putzing around in his garage and fixing small engines. He also found joy in mowing his large lawn and the rest of his free time was spent meeting up with friends at the GV Truck Stop or D&G Restaurant in Greenleaf.

Dale will be remembered as a loving father, grandpa, and friend and will be missed dearly.

He is survived by his four children: Lonnie (Cindy) Wanie, Danny (Wanda) Wanie, Mark Wanie and Karla (Chris Bennes) Zirbel-Bennes; grandchildren: Grace Wanie, Seth Wanie, Brittany Zirbel and Travis (fiancé Brooke Brice) Zirbel; sisters: Barbara Pischke and Luanne Wanie. Along with his parents, Dale is preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Wanie; his son Wayne Wanie; his sister Yvonne (Gerald) Habeck and his brother-in-law Robert Pischke.

Visitation for Dale will be held on Thursday, September 30th, 2021 at Newcomer- Green Bay Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI., 54301) from 5:00PM - 7:00PM. A Prayer Service will follow at 7:00PM.

The family would like to thank the Emergency Department, 1st Floor and the ICU staff at Aurora Baycare Medical Center for the care and compassion given to Dale during his time there.
