Dale D. Sauer

May 18, 1944 — January 18, 2025

Green Bay

Dale Sauer, age 80, joined his beloved wife, Rita, in heaven on January 18, 2025.

Dale was born in Chicago to the late Henry and Beanca Sauer. In Chicago, he met the love of his life, Rita, and they spent almost 51 years together on earth. It was obvious how much they loved each other as they navigated life’s many joys and challenges together. Dale longed for the day they would be together again after her passing.

Dale served in the Army during the Vietnam Era. He was stationed in Frankfurt, Germany. After serving, he took a European discharge where he and Rita traveled throughout Europe for 9 months. Upon returning to the states, he worked as a Printer until his retirement at Heartland Labels in 2010.

Dale was a simple, kind, selfless man. He led a life marked by simple joys, steadfast work ethic, and an unwavering dedication to his family. He was a man of strength and resilience, always making sure his family was well cared for and loved. As a father, he taught his children the value of hard work. His best friends were the ones he had for a lifetime and went all the way back to grade school days.

He is survived by two children, daughter Susanne (Todd), son David (Roslynn) and grandchildren Zachary, Brynn, Olivia, and Andrew and one sister Barb (Jim).

Per Dale’s request, a private service is being held. He will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

The family would like to thank the staff at Woodside Manor for always taking such good care of our Dad. We would like to extend a special thank you to Michelle, RN at Unity, who provided our Dad with exceptional care and compassion during his final year.
