Dale John Polzin
Took Jesus' hand and went home to be with our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, November 30, 2022.
Born on November 8, 1942 to Leland and Mabel (Hartwig) Polzin in Marinette, WI. He was the second oldest of six siblings. He graduated from Peshtigo High School with a D+ average, and he was very proud of that plus to which he often shared with colleagues friends. He served in the U.S. Army Corps. of Engineers overseas in Germany from 1960 - 1965. He returned home and then married Carol L. Vandermause on June 11, 1966. In 56 years together, they raised two sons. He worked with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers sailing the Great Lakes for two years on the Ludington while living in Kewaunee, WI. In 1967, he joined the Carpenters' Local Union 1146 for the next 13 years. In 1984, he had the greatest honor of his lifetime to join A.L. Williams Financial Services Company which later became Primerica Financial Services. There he solidified his status as a National Sales Director. In 2007, he retired from Primerica, but continued to maintain his relationships with his Primerica family.
In his retirement, he loved to do his woodworking, wintering in Alamo, TX, and mentoring and raising his grandson, Sam.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; two sons, Shawn and Kevin (Stephanie); grandson, Sam; granddaughter Liyah; siblings, Daryl (Janet), Gary (Dawn), Kay (Steve) Held and Vicky (Jeff) VanDyck, and sister-in-law, Laverne Vandermause. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leland and Mabel; in-laws, Benjamin and Hilda Vandermause, and his brother, Ronald.
Visitation will take place on Friday, December 9, 2022 from 10 am - 1 pm with a funeral service to follow at 1 pm at Messiah Lutheran Church (3186 Eaton Rd, Green Bay, WI). Private burial and graveside services will take place in Marinette County.
