Dale R. Miller better known as "Tarkus" age 68, passed away on May 28, 2023 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center with his daughter by his side. He was born on March 26, 1955 the son of the late Rueben and Lucille (Wilke) Miller. Dale attended Southern Door High School and created lots of memories and laughter from the many pranks he pulled. Dale enjoyed in his younger years driving cement truck. Later he worked for Bay Ship Builders for over 30 years. On the down time between ship building he enjoyed painting homes. Dale had a great love of the outdoors from mowing the grass or snowmobiling with his daughter; to catching his limit of perch or slaying whitefish out on the ice. His love of nature extended into morel mushroom hunting and plant growing experiments that was a testament to his green thumb. During his skinnier years he had a great endurance for bike riding even participating in the century bike ride. In his later years you could often find Dale driving around Algoma on his scooter with the music blaring or at home playing Yahtzee.
Dale is survived by his daughter, Robyn (Andrew) Miller Regazzi, called Grandpa Buddy by his two granddaughters: Charlette and Rylinn, Dale would refer to as his Angels; former wife, Linda Miller, one nephew, Daniel Miller, he is further survived by aunts, cousins, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Vivian Miller.
Dale wanted to share a final word with everyone "Keep on the sunny side of Life." His wishes were to be cremated and the family will have a celebration of life in the future. The family would like to extend a thank you to all the staff at Aurora BayCare, for all their wonderful care, comfort and support given to Dale and the family.
