Curtis Allen Lessmiller, born November 3, 1970, died on July 15, 2021 after a short illness and is now at peace with the Lord.
Curtis will be remembered as a loving person with a kind soul. He helped people in any way that he was able.
Curtis loved to go fishing, being outdoors, and liked every single kind of animal there was. Feeding the squirrels and the birds was a daily occurance. Spending time with his family and friends was something he enjoyed the most.
Curtis loved to listen to country music and sing along to karaoke.
Curtis is survived by his biological daughter Sarah Besaw and her 3 children; his mother Ann Powell; his life partner of 17 years Sammie Kowalkowski-Haagen, and her children Austin and Khirsttane, and his best friend Al Woodford. He is further survived by many maternal and paternal aunts, uncles and cousins.
Curtis was preceded in death by his father Wayne Lessmiller; his maternal and paternal grandparents; his uncle Allan Powell, Jr.; his cousins Christy Lynn Powell and Heidi Lessmiller; and his uncle Thomas Lessmiller.
A private celebration of Curtis's life will be held at a later date for the family.
The family would like to thank Curtis's caregivers for the care and compassion given to him while at the TICU at Froedtert Medical Center.
