Clyde B. Stipe

August 19, 1934 — September 9, 2022

Clyde B. Stipe, 88, Green Bay, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, September 9, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Hartley, Texas on August 19, 1934, the youngest of six children of Paul and Marie (Burroughs) Stipe. Clyde attended schools in the Texas Panhandle and graduated from Canyon High School in Canyon, Texas. He enlisted in the United States Navy and was initially stationed in San Diego and Great Lakes. He proudly served his country from 1956-1960, four years with the United States Navy, with two of those years serving as a Navy medic with the United States Marine's 3rd Marine Division FMF in Okinawa. During a leave in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, at a chance encounter at the Ice Capades, Clyde met the love of his life, Janice Vandertie. Clyde and Janice were married on August 24, 1957 at Oak Knoll Catholic Church in Oakland, California. They recently celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary together.

Clyde worked for C.R.I. Cooperative in Shawano, Wisconsin for 36 years until his retirement. He was a member of St. Phillip the Apostle Catholic Church.
Clyde loved his family and traveling, and his many trips to Las Vegas. He was an avid Packer fan. He enjoyed working on his tree farm when he could, and he loved to read.

In addition to his loving wife, Janice, Clyde is survived by one daughter, Lisa (Steve) Soukup, Bellevue, and one son, Craig (MiLissa) Stipe, Denmark. Three grandsons and one granddaughter, Kyle (Katrina) Soukup, Milwaukee, Kaitlyn (Dylan) Schneider, Allouez, Tyler Stipe (special friend, Taylor Pederson), Green Bay, and Garrett Stipe, Denmark, also survive him.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by two sisters, Loyce White and Joyce Lowe, and three brothers, Max Stipe, Jim Stipe, and Jesse Stipe.

Friends may call 9:00-11:00 am for visitation at St. Phillips Catholic Church, Green Bay, on Saturday, September 17, 2022. Funeral at 11:00 am, with full military honors immediately following. Entombment at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum, Allouez.
