Clarence "Sonny" Lins passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Woodside Manor with his family by his side. He was born on October 23, 1937 in Wausau, the son of the late Carl and Mabel (Carter) Lins. After graduating from Marathon High School, Sonny joined the Air Force in 1956 and proudly served our country until 1960. He was united in marriage on April 23, 1960 to his high school sweetheart, Shirley Sicklinger. Their marriage was blessed with four children. In 1965, they made Green Bay their home. Sonny was a manufacture sales rep, owning his own business, Lins and Associates for over 35 years. Sonny and Shirley traveled the United States, and enjoyed vacationing with family.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley, four children: Lani (Kerry) Zilisch of Green Bay, Larry (Carolyn) Lins of Georgia, Lee (Nicole Fimbrez) Lins of Hawaii, and Lance (Kelly Young) Lins of De Pere; nine Grandchildren: Brooke (Ashok) Rai, Heather (Jesse) Sweeney, Montanna Lins, Kyla Lins, Dalton Lins, Ciana Lins, Leona Lins, Gavin Lins, and Kendra Lins; four great-grandchildren: Madeline and Kamryn Kazik, Parker and Easton Sweeney; special friends, Joe (Ann) Crispigna, and Kathrine Steinman; further survived by family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Don (Marie) Lins.
Friends and family may visit at Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 2270 S Oneida St, Green Bay, on Friday, October 28, 2022 from 9:00 am until 10:45 am with Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:00 am. Private entombment will take place at Allouez Catholic Mausoleum later. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff at Woodside Manor and Unity Hospice for all their care, comfort, and support that was given to the family.
