Chester A. Bonville, 97, past away peacefully in his sleep at his youngest daughter's home in Arizona on Wednesday, February 15, 2023.
He was born on September 10, 1925 to the late Chester E. and Mary G. (Burlo) Bonville in Milwaukee Wisconsin.
Chester graduated from Green Bay East High School, proudly served in the U.S. Navy Air Force during World War II and Korean War.
He retired from Wisconsin Public Service in 1988.
He married the love of his life, Elizabeth J. Seroogy on September 25, 1948 in Green Bay. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather to his wife, children, and grandchildren. Chester participated in golf, bowling and trap shooting leagues through his employer, WPS.
Chester is survived by his 6 children, Cathleen O'Neil, Susan (Charles) Witthuhn, Michael (Cheryl) Bonville, Anthony Bonville, Patrick Bonville Sr., Mary (Liz) Maldonado; 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; brother in law, Sylvester Vannieuwenhoven and special goddaughter, LeeAnn Counard-Anderson and along with many special nieces and nephews.
Chester was preceded in death by his parents, wife Elizabeth, sister Dolores Vannieuwenhoven, brother Darryl Bonville, sister in law Florence Mande, son in law Michael O'Neil and grandson Jacob Peters.
Friends and family may visit St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, 140 S. Monroe Ave, on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 am. Military Honors will follow the service. Private family inurnment will take place at Allouez Catholic Mausoleum and Cemetery.
