Catherine "Cathy" L. Vance, age 59, Green Bay, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, December 24, 2017, after a five year battle with breast cancer.
She was born on January 22, 1958, in Green Bay, to Michael & Lorraine Caramehas.
Cathy graduated from Green Bay Southwest High School in 1976. She was employed at United Health Care for over 20 years.
She loved flowers, enjoyed gardening in her back yard, cooking, baking, being with her family and friends, and recently becoming a grandmother to Cooper. Cathy was extremely close with her daughter, Chelsea, they spent all of their time together. She spent summer vacations traveling to Eagle River. Throughout her battle with breast cancer, Cathy still lived life to the fullest, always staying positive and impacting everybody's life.
Survivors include her daughter, Chelsea (Dave) Weisnicht; grandson, Cooper Weisnicht; fiance, Dave LeCapitaine; parents, Michael & Lorraine Caramehas; sisters, Michelle (Randy) Braun, Debbie (Tom) Johnson; brother, Michael Caramehas; cousin, Carolyn Boyea; niece, Sara (Evan) Braun and nephews, Taylor Braun & Johnny Johnson and his son, Elliot; Dave's children, Emmy (Mike) and their children, Garrett and Cooper, Jill, Luke and his son, Jaeden, Cory (Jess) and their daughter, Mady and John.
She is preceded in death by her niece, Wendy Johnson; grandmother, Margaret Johnson; and loving companions, Seth and Oreo.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday, December 29, 2017, at Newcomer - Green Bay Chapel, 340 S. Monroe Ave. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Bellin Cancer Team and Unity Hospice.
