Casey attended Ashwaubenon High School and also earned a CNA and Esthetician degree. She had a sense of fashion and was very unique. Every day of her battle with Leukemia she dressed up / makeup/ jewelry and looked beautiful and glamorous to say the least. Casey loved to decorate her home and had the ability to make anything beautiful. Her children were her world and she loved to watch the girls play and dance. Watching Alijah play football was also a great joy for her and made her so proud. Casey loved animals especially dogs and was known to take in a stray all too often. Her heart was compassionate for anyone less fortunate and she would open her home to many.
Casey's battle with a rare form of Leukemia was fierce. She beat it an unheard of 3 times in and out of remission and was involved in 2 very experimental trials. The trials were successful but her cancer relapsed before bone marrow transplant could be done. As a result of her battle much research is being done and many lives will be saved due to her bravery.
A very special thank you to the Aurora cancer team especially Dr. Gautam and special nurses Hope and Jared. Thank you also to Dr. Hall from the University of Wisconsin Madison and Unity Hospice.
Casey will be sadly missed by her children, family, and friends, but knowing she is now at peace and cancer free and dancing in the sky in the kingdom of heaven brings us comfort and joy.
