Carol J. Jarstad, age 76, loving mother of three passed away December 3rd following a short battle with cancer.
Carol born in 1945, was one out of eleven children born to Earl and Eda E. of Columbus Wisconsin. She lived on a farm until 1973 when she then moved to Cambria, where she raised her three children. In 1988, she relocated to Beaver Dam Wisconsin and worked for the Chrysler Corporation. Then in 1993 she moved to Green Bay Wisconsin. Carol worked in manufacturing most of her life and retired from Krueger International in 2015. Carol loved going to family functions to spend time with her children, grand-children, and great grand-children.
In 2002, she obtained a horse named Koral at Green Acres Stables. Carol loved riding horses as a child so having Koral became her favorite pastime when not working. After several years Carol ended up moving her horse to Scarboro Creek Equestrian Center. She enjoyed spending time with her friends at the stable. She was a kind loving soul who loved animals and life, but hated roundabouts, highways and Sunday Carol became known as the treat lady. The dogs and "porky" the pig knew she was there by the sound of her voice and would come running so they could get their treats.
When she was diagnosed with cancer, she decided to join Unity hospice. She wanted to enjoy the quality of life she knew. Family and friends provided the ongoing support during this emotional time. Carol got to enjoy one last ride on Koral with the assistance of family and Izzy and Kim at the stables. Riding her horse made her the happiest.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Eda and six siblings. She is survived by her three children, Paul Moreland, Tim (Jesica) Moreland, and Crystal (David) White, grandchildren, Cody (Shana) Senft, Tristen-Jay Senft, Tiffany Vega, Pedro Moreland, Selena (Jason) LeBotte, Shania Moreland, Blair Moreland, Hunter Moreland, Kevin Contreras, Christopher Contreras, and many great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank her care team from Unity Hospice, Ashley, Jennifer, and Jane as well as others who made her care a priority. Unity made it possible for our mom to stay in her home.
There will be a private service for immediate family and friends to be determined. Online condolences maybe submitted to Newcomer Cremations, Funeral and Receptions.
