Carol Boyea, age 82, a lifelong resident of Green Bay, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, September 6, 2024, following a surgical procedure. She was born January 21, 1942 in Green Bay, daughter of the late Richard and Grace (Le Cloux) Gustman and was a graduate of Green Bay Preble High School, Class of 1960.
Carol married William "Bill" Boyea, May 19, 1962. They shared 56 years of marriage before Bill preceded her in death, July 11, 2018. Carol and Bill were long time members of the Green Bay Yacht Club and founding members of the Champagne Cruisers. They built many friendships with their fellow boaters.
Carol had a green thumb and enjoyed tending to her beautiful flower gardens. She was a jack of all trades from hair stylist, upholstery and seamstress. Her talents allowed her to run many successful businesses from home, including dog grooming, upholsterer, hair stylist and seamstress. Carol simultaneously worked as a receptionist at Titletown Fitness up until COVID. She had a soft spot in her heart for animals, she loved living on the farm and adored her canine companions throughout the years. While a cliché, Carol lit up the room with a smile on her face and greeted every person with joy and happiness. The kindness in her heart was genuine and you knew it the moment you encountered her. Her warmth, energy and love touched everyone she met. She lived everyday with immense gratitude and never took anything or anyone for granted. She adored the time she spent, daily and weekly with her 3 sons - they were her world.
Carol is survived by her 3 sons: Craig, Rich and Scott Boyea, all of Green Bay; 4 grandchildren: Michael, Zach (Dani), Brooke (Michael) and Britney (Ryan); 11 great-grandchildren and a sister, Priscilla Bellin; She is further survived by several nieces and nephews and numerous cousins she adored and had a close relationship with over the years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill and 2 twin daughters, Linda and Brenda, her parents, parent in-laws, her step-father (Alvin Van Beek), Brother-in-laws Robert Boyea and Glenn Bellin
Special thank you to her niece and goddaughter, Cindy Van Asten for the caregiving and love she showed her throughout the years, especially the past few years.
