Carmon H. Van Ess passed away peacefully at home, Monday, January 25, 2021, surrounded by his family. Carmon was born in Green Bay, WI, July 2, 1937, son of the late Henry and Adeline (Liebman) Van Ess.
Survivors include his wife of over 50 years, Mary Lou (Kustka) Van Ess; son, Scott Van Ess; daughter, Tammy (Gail Churchill) Van Ess; granddaughters, Addison and Annie Van Ess; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Angel. Carmon was preceded in death by his sister, Darlene (Richard) Zeise; his brothers, Vernon and Larry Van Ess; father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Ardith Kustka and a nephew, Brandon Kustka.
"Rest now, dad. Your work here is done. Your love and compassion touched the lives of all those who got to know you. You lived your life with great empathy and kindness to all."
In lieu of flowers, Carmon would wish for all to spread empathy and kindness to others.
A private celebration of his life will be held at a future date.
