Carl J. Woitula, 88, Green Bay, died on Wednesday, June 4, 2014. He was born on May 16, 1926, in Green Bay, to the late Joseph Sr. and Pauline (Wertel) Woitula.
Carl attended St. Mary's and St. Philip Grade Schools and East High School. Carl joined the Army on his 18th birthday during WWII on May 16, 1944 and served in the Infantry in Europe with George Patton for two years. He then served in the Navy for two years on the USS Wisconsin and then the Coast Guard. Throughout his military career he earned two Campaign Stars, Combat Infantry Badge and a Purple Heart.
Carl and his friend, Irene Gerstner danced for years on TV with the Arthur Murray Dancers. He was an usher at St. Willebrord Catholic Church for many years.
Survivors include his sister, Evelyn (Earl) Schoen and many nieces and nephews.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Joseph Jr. (Peggy), Raymond (Carol), and Richard (Jeanne) Woitula; and sister, Irene (Richard) Zolper.
Private funeral services will be held for the family.

Carl will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Rest peacefully dear brother.
