Bruce J. Mattern

Bruce J. Mattern, age 74, passed away on August 27, 2022 peacefully at home with his loved ones by his side.
Bruce was born on February 29, 1948 to the late Leroy and Bertha Mattern in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
He worked the majority of his life doing construction. On his down time he enjoyed computers, gaming, and watching the wildlife.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Tina; his sister, Pam Johnson; his children, Jeff (Tammy), Terry, Gregory (Jacqueline), Jason (Carol); stepchildren, Tonia (Brian) Geibel, Steven (Tammy) Monfils, Scott (Ashton) Monfils, Lisa Falish, and Leilanni (Tyler) Schleis. Also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, and sisters-in-law as well as nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Bertha; his sons, Kevin and Tim Mattern; his in laws, John and Verna Falish; and his brothers-in-law, Kent Johnson, Norman Falish, and Joe (Mary) Falish.
A special thanks to Madison, Mason, Evan, and Xander for keeping papa entertained during his battle with cancer.
A very special thank you to a close friend, Paul Greenwood for all you have done and continue to do for our family.
Special thanks to all the staff at Bellin Cancer Center and the staff at the Unity Hospice.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 4 pm - 6:30 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions (340 S. Monroe Ave Green Bay) with a Sharing of Memories to take place at 6:30 pm. Please feel free to prepare a memory to share of Bruce, and casual dress would be preferred by the family.
