Bonnie Bero Anderson left our world on Monday, February 15 at the age of 64.
She was an independent, socially conscious, amazing woman who became like a second mother to her younger siblings after their mother died in 1976. She opened her heart as well as her door to those who needed her. Bonnie attended Annunciation, St. Joseph's Academy, Ashwaubenon High School and earned a Social Work degree from UWGB.
Her social work career began with Big Brothers and Big Sisters and then as a CPS worker for Oconto County, where she was a fierce advocate for children and teens. She was also a volunteer for the suicide hotline.
Bonnie is survived by her son, Christopher (Jen) Anderson, daughter, Shannon Anderson (Matt), siblings ; Kenne (Debbie) Bero, Wanda (Gary) Steinbrecher, and Sandra (Bill) Curto and also Corey, Renee and Troy.
Bonnie leaves three grandchildren who were the absolute joys in her life; Brennan, Katie and Joel and her nieces Kara, Alissa, Shelby, Adrianne, and nephew David, as well as many other nieces and nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Doris Bero and her older brother Allan Bero. Special love to sibling Wanda Steinbrecher who shared an amazing bond with Bonnie, especially during her final years. There will be no funeral per Bonnie's request.
