Robert Jankowski, 62, joined his family and God in heaven on October 17, 2019 after a heart attack.
Bob was born on July 3, 1957 to the late Antone and Alice (Szczepanski) Jankowski. After graduating from Southwest High School Class of 1975, he proudly served in the Air Force in Minot, ND. Returning to Green Bay, he worked in Printed Napkins at Fort Howard Paper Company.
Bob married his soulmate Jeanne on September 11, 1982 at St. Matthew Parish in Wausau. They spent 37 love-filled years together. The happiest moment was the day their daughter Valerie Rose was born. He enjoyed being her "at home" Dad. She was his world and he loved her beyond words.
Bob enjoyed cooking for his family, walking their rescue dog, Dorothy, and talking to everyone. He coached Valerie in Striker Soccer for many years. "Coach Bob" touched the lives of many players and their families. He wore his Santa spirit inside and out. When it wasn't hockey season, Bob loved spending weekends at the cabin he built up north, and taking pontoon rides. He enjoyed texting family and friends on his flip phone.
His bucket list was almost complete. He saw Valerie graduate from college and walked her down the aisle on her wedding day. He gained a son in Richard and knew this fine man would love and care for Valerie when he was gone. This summer we took a family road trip and saw amazing things. Valerie and Bob coached soccer together for 2 years. The day before his passing, Bob and Jeanne were making plans for her retirement. He was sitting in his recliner waiting to have lunch with Valerie when God called him home.
Bob is survived by his wife Jeanne; daughter Valerie (Richard) Vander Leest; brothers: Mark (JoAnn) Jankowski, Daryl (Karen) Jankowski, and Wayne (Sonja) VanAtta; sister-in-law, Mary Jankowski, brother-in-law, Bob (Kim) Seehafer and nieces and nephews Krista (Asis) McGuire, Ashley Seehafer and Cody Grimm, Alyssa (Brad) Stone and their daughter Ruby, Aaron (Jenessa) Seehafer and their son Theo. Bob also leaves his many extended family and friends.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents; a brother Michael Jankowski; parents-in-law Simon (Shirley) Seehafer, and many aunts and uncles.
