Bob Gomand Sr.

November 5, 1931 — January 3, 2021

Bob "Grandpa" Gomand Sr., 89, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at a local assisted living facility. He was born on November 5, 1931 to the late William and Helen Gomand in Green Bay, WI. He married the love of his life, Marie, on September 26, 1953 and they shared 66 beautiful years together.

Bob worked at Pauly Cheese for many years. He enjoyed going to rummage sales and finding antiques to collect and resell. He loved to be at home spending time with his family; he said if it wasn't in his own backyard, he didn't need it. He loved to watch old westerns and reading The Reminisce Magazine in his spare time. Bob was a good father and loved being both a grandfather and great grandfather.

Bob is survived by his three children: Carol (Bernie) Blohm, Bradford Gomand and Marilyn (Jeff) Walker; five grandchildren: Kari (Anthony Marinetti) Blohm, Staci (Ben) Anderson, Nicole (Ryan) Moran, Chad (Laken Anderson) Lambert and Haley Walker; six great grandchildren: Violet, Vera, Victoria, Julian, Natalie and Emma.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Marie, and their beloved son, Robert Jr..

Visitation will be held at Newcomer - Green Bay Chapel on Saturday, January 9, 2021 from 10 am to 12 pm. A short prayer service will follow at 12 pm. Robert will be laid to rest in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.

Bob's family would like to thank the staff at Caraton Commons as well as Aseracare Hospice for the excellent and loving care they provided Bob during this time.
