Beverly Jean Lewis

March 14, 1937 — June 28, 2022

Beverly Jean Lewis, 85, Green Bay, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at home surrounded by family. Bev was born on March 14, 1937, to Frank and Evelyn (Glinski) Johnson in Blackwell, Wisconsin where she attended school as a child and later returned to live with her husband in their retirement years.

Bev married Lyle Lewis on October 28, 1960 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Bev held many jobs in her lifetime including working at Nu Roc Nursing Home in Blackwell as well as working in Green Bay at Holzer's Drug Store and Kings X. No job was more important to her than that of raising her five children. She loved being with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and looked forward to family get-together's whether in Green Bay or "up north". Bev loved playing cards, doing puzzles, country music and getting together with friends and family. She was often the life of the party and was known for her crazy antics! She loved a good party. A few years after Lyle passed, Bev moved to Green Bay to be closer to her family, but she never stopped looking forward to getting up north. She was truly the life of the party.

Bev is survived by her children: Jeffrey (Donna) Lewis, Lyle (Lori) Lewis, Terry Malcore, Chris (Ted) Prosser, Kelly (Tom) Molitor; her grandchildren: Allen (Brittany) and Erika Lewis and Melissa Gomes, Michael Lewis, Jamie (Elisia) Lewis, Matthew Malcore and Melissa (Kendall) LaBelle, Emily and Kyle (Chloe) Prosser, Aaron (Amanda), Emily, Samuel, Jackson and Grace Molitor; along with her 8 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Kenneth "Bucko" Johnson, LaVerne (Barbara) Johnson, Robert Johnson, Susie (Gary) Mercil, Eunice Jaklin, and Darlene (Richard) Tachick and a brother-in-law Alvin Weidemier, a special friend Marni, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Bev was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle, her parents, and her sisters: Sharon Weidemier, Eileen Collins, Gerry Granath, and Rita Soderbeck and one brother, Frank, as well as many siblings-in-law.

Visitation will be held in the Chapel at Green Bay Community Church, 600 Cardinal Lane, Green Bay (entrance on east side), on Thursday, July 21, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., service to follow. Pastor Kim Sechler officiating. Private burial will be in Fort Howard Memorial Park next to Lyle. Newcomer Funeral Home is assisting the family.

A special thank you is extended to Dr. Kelli Frederickson, the Aurora doctors and nurses that have looked after mom through the years and Hospice for their kind and compassionate care. A very special thank you to our sister, Terry, who made her home Mom's home.

Mom loved to laugh, loved a good time, and had a huge heart. The many tears shed with her passing is a testament to the special lady she was. She was so loved and will be so missed. EI EI EI O!!! Love you Mom.
