Betty Mae Farvour, age 92, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2021.
She was born August 10, 1928 to Alvina Sheve. On August 13, 1949, Betty married her husband Theodore Farvour at Union Congregational Church. They had four children. Betty worked for St. Vincent Hospital as a housekeeper, then at Bornemann as a cook and lastly she was at the Ramada, where she worked as a housekeeper until she retired at the age of 70. Betty was a proud, lifetime member of the Gold Star Mother organization. She enjoyed playing cards, putting together puzzles, playing bingo, and embroidery. Betty also loved to cheer on the Packer's and often won her football pool. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Family was very important to her and she never missed an opportunity to be with them. Betty had such a large heart and was kind to everyone.
Betty is survived by her son Ted Farvour and daughter Debbie (Dave) Delvaux, both of Green Bay; four grandchildren, Kimberly Delvaux (Dave DeMott) of Minneapolis, David Delvaux of Green Bay, Amanda Vandevelde of Green Bay and Mindy Vorpahl of California; two great-grandchildren, Kane and Adia Vandevelde; sisters Charlotte (Fred) Dobraska, Sharon Feltz, Linda Hendricks, and Joan Champagne.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Farvour; two sons, William Farvour and David Farvour; her mother, sisters Pat (Ray) Champagne, Darrell Champagne, and Jane Grunewald.
Please join us in celebrating Betty's life. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 10th, 2021 from 4 PM - 7 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay) A funeral service will follow at 7 PM in the funeral home. Burial will be in Ft. Howard Memorial Park.
