Betty DeWalle

February 2, 1939 — January 21, 2025

Betty Jane DeWalle, 85, of Green Bay, passed away on January 21, 2025 with her family by her side, at Aurora Baycare Medical Center. She was born on February 2, 1939 to Benjamin and Marguerite (Voysey) Walker at Fond du Lac. She was baptized March 12, 1939 and confirmed April 14, 1954 (Matthew 6:33). She graduated from Goodrich High School in 1958 and later Pikes Peak Community College. She lived in Colorado from 1978 - 2001 retiring from El Paso County. She was always involved, busy in numerous activities, hobbies, and charities. She had many interests and was in several choirs. By audition with the Soli Deo Gloria Corral she sang with the group for Reagan's Inauguration in DC in 1981. She married Gene DeWalle in 2003, and he died in 2021. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church with its incredible teaching.


Betty is survived by her loving daughters: Debbie (Tom) Huysken and Karla A. Ledet; four grandchildren: Adam (Heather) Ford of PA, Brad (Malara) Ford of NE, Sarah (Chris) LeBlanc of OH, and Brittany (Adrian) Barnett of LA; six great-grandchildren: Cameron, Carson, Isaiah, Emerie, Alaiyah, and Cohen. Also a brother, Ken (Gerry) Walker. She was preceded in death by her parents, four siblings: Bob Walker, John Walker, Darlene Drehemel, and Shirley Schibline.

 

Per her request a private funeral has taken place for family. Family would like to thank Aurora Cancer Team, Aurora Medical team, and especially Dr. Gautum for his patience and understanding.
