Betty Ann Blazek

August 26, 1933 — January 16, 2025

Betty Ann Blazek, 91, of Green Bay, passed away on January 16, 2025 at Oak Park Place. 

She was born on August 26, 1933 to John and Augusta Christensen. 

Betty was born to a large family, she was the youngest of 12. She graduated from Suring High School in 1951. 

On May 9, 1952, she married William Allen Blazek. After Bill's service in the Air Force, they settled down in Green Bay, Wisconsin where they raised their family. Betty and Bill shared a love for traveling, and they visited all 50 states together. 

One of Betty's greatest joys in life was watching her family grow and spending time with her grandchildren. She also loved being outdoors; she enjoyed gardening and planting trees. For a number of years, Betty loved getting together with her card club ladies. 

Betty volunteered at Bellin Memorial Hospital for over 30 years. She provided comfort and care for thousands of patients during her time there.

Betty is survived by her children: Kaye (Robert) VandenBranden, Theodore Blazek, Andrew (Debbie) Blazek, and Sarah (Chris) Arps; grandchildren: Nathan (Vicky) VandenBranden, Stuart VandenBranden, Vladimir Blazek, Ivan Blazek, Caleb Blazek, William Arps, Collin (Lauren Courter) Arps, and Lillian Arps; great-grandchildren: Maks, Makenna and Evelyn VandenBranden; Betty is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Allen Blazek and her sons, Randall Blazek and Matthew Blazek.

Visitation will take place on Friday, January 31, 2025 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay, WI 54301). A Memorial Service will take place immediately following at 6:00 pm.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Oak Park Place for their kindness, support, and care.
