Bernard D. Wheelock, age 75, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2015 at home.
He was born in Green Bay, WI on October 23, 1939, and was raised by his grandparents Alice and Frank Wheelock.
He attended NWTC where he received training in carpentry. Bernie worked as a custodian for the Oneida Tribe for over 25 years and never missed a day of work. Bernie walked every day, and loved animals especially his cats. He enjoyed going out to eat and to the movies and enjoyed old cowboy shows.
Bernie is survived by his sisters Tudy Wheelock of Seymour, WI and KC Vaughan-Hamilton and her husband Willie of Oneida, WI and his brother Arlen Parkhurst. He also leaves his nieces and nephews Trisha and Tim Cottrell, Willie Hamilton III, Alexander Hamilton, Teresa Anderson, Samantha Anderson, Samantha Hamilton as well as many great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his special friend Lynne Miller as well as many other friends.
Bernie was preceded in death by his grandparents, his parents Dorothy and Alexander Parkhurst and his sister Maxine (Frank) Cottrell.
Friends and relatives may call at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, (340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay) on Tuesday, May 26th, 2015 from 4 to 7 PM. Oneida Hymn Singers at 6:30 PM.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH (N5589 County Road E, De Pere, WI). Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
