Bernard P. Josephs Sr., age 79, a lifelong resident of Green Bay, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, November 5, 2021, surrounded by family. He was born in Green Bay, July 28, 1942, son of the late Peter B. and Pearl A. (Kuske) Josephs and attended Green Bay West High School.
Bernie worked at Packerland Packaging for many years until an injury left him unable to work. His disability allowed him to reconnect with his children and his daughter, Laura, became his primary caregiver until his passing.
He loved hanging out with family, friends and animals, especially Charlie the chicken, Blackie the dog and Angel and Sox, his cats. Anyone who knew Bernie was touched by his generosity to many charities or very irritated with his constant quoting of scripture.
Bernard is survived by his 3 children: Laura Josephs, Chris (Tony) Josephs and Bernard P. "Butch" (Saundra) Josephs Jr.; 2 grandchildren, Brittney (Alex) Roeske and Cotten Lumb; a great-granddaughter (and one on the way!), Coral Roeske and 5 siblings: Gary (Sharon) Josephs, Diane (Leo) Danelski, John Josephs, Linda Kraszewski and Terry Josephs. He is further survived by special friend, Helen French and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Terry Lee Josephs and a brother-in-law, Scott Kraszewski.
Private services will be held by Bernie's family at a later date.
"Dad, I was honored and privileged to be your daughter and caregiver the last ten years. May you rest in God's hands."
Bernie's family would like to extend their gratitude to his wonderful doctors, as well as the staff in the ICU at Aurora Hospital for their care and compassion.
