Beatrice R. Stallmann

March 22, 1920 — January 20, 2020

Beatrice "Beatty" Rosella (Kaatz) Stallmann, age 99, passed away peacefully January 20, 2020 with family by her side after complications from pneumonia. She was born March 22, 1920 in Athelstane, Wisconsin to Otto and Arena (Waters) Kaatz in the house which she later raised her own family. On November 18, 1938, she married her true love Maynard Stallmann, who preceded her in death on November 22, 2003.

Beatty worked as a waitress at the Wausaukee Club for many years; later as a clerk at the post office in Athelstane, and then as a cook in the Athelstane School until it closed. She then continued her culinary prowess at the Wausaukee High School. Beatty's claim to fame in the school system was her homemade buns, bread, and desserts, baked daily. She is well-known to family and friends for her legendary pies and Christmas cookies.

Survivors include her daughters Cheryl Beyer of Shiocton and Heather McAllister of Seymour; sister June Caine of Wausaukee; grandchildren: Blake McAllister (friend Lisa) of Pulaski; Brad (Michelle) Jorgensen of Shiocton, Melissa (Mark) Yunker of Louisville, KY, Dale (Pamela) Beyer of Plover; great-grandchildren: Nathan and Brady McAllister, Eli and Benjamin Jorgensen, Marisa (fiance Andrew) Yunker, Lily and Amelia Beyer, as well as many nieces and nephews. Beatty was preceded in death by her husband Maynard; brothers: Raymond and Otto Kaatz; sister Lucille Groth; sisters-in-law: Kay Kaatz and Bev Kaatz; brothers-in-law: Carl Groth and Pat Caine; sons-in-law: George Jorgensen, Dale Beyer, and Daniel McAllister.

Visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI 54301) on Saturday, February 15, 2020 from 12pm-2pm with a memorial service following the visitation.

Beatty's family would like to offer their profound thanks to the staff at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Seymour for their kindness and compassion during her residence there.
